Gah I hate materials and processes. The actual class work is stupid, prof himself even said so. the course used to be just the lab portion.

I mean its not entirely useless. but it should not have so much info crammed into a single course. I spent a good 3 hours tring to understand phase diagrams before it clicked....

On the bright side, that article tht I wrote got Fp'd. 7.5 K veiws and 250 comments by the end of the day. WOOT

Kinja'd!!!

Have a buell for your time

I've enjoyed going through your previous posts, great information that a lot of people looking to make the move don't get. I haven't been able to take the plunge on getting a two-wheeled transport (no license here in Germany or the states) so I can't take advantage of this insanely moto friendly country.

The advice on the beginner bike is almost identical to what my brother has been coaching me with. No sport bikes, his first was a Nighthawk 400 and recommended the same or similar. I would love to end up on a Buell Firebolt or Lightning someday, just an amazing look/sound. I'll have to make do with my four-wheeled and caged vehicles until then.

Good luck with the studying.

Thanks! there is another going up in roughly 5 hours, 45min (10.45AM est) on 2 up riding if your intrested

I want another buell. I really really do. I miss my blast. But IDK if I can live with the lack of ABS and hit-or-miss reliability for a daily bike...Maybe as a weekend toy, but not my main mode of transport .
turbo buell 1125CR with cherry bomb red XB fairings? sign me the F*** up

Ha, I feel you. Micro economics is like that. I got 10/30 on my midterm but because the whole class bombed it, (almost everyone I know failed, a few got D's...) my grade is now a C+.

Oooh I love materials science, even though I wouldn't like to work in the field, too much lab work and exerimentation for my taste. I think this is the subject where I got my best grades those past 2 years (but it only counts for around 15% of my total grades, the rest being mechanical and industrial engineering). Having great teacher (and an awesome research lab) might also have to do with that :)

yea, we dont have the first part. guy is an older dude who every class tells us how the in-class portion of that class is useless, and that if we (as engineers) are still doing engineering 5 years after we graduate, we are doing something really wrong.

I loved my M2 and my 1125R and I've always wanted an XB12S like you have above. The only thing is that it looks like it's wearing a hazmat mask

Sounds good. I was rather disappointed noone liked my truck wheelie comparison article yesterday. Not that it was FP worthy, but them some good wheelies.

FWIW, know that understanding phase diagrams from a generalized two-axis data visualization standpoint, is a skill well worth having if you're going in to tech careers (ternary diagrams, too, if you get a chance). I am sure the pressure and work sucks right now, but that little piece right there will serve you nicely. Good luck on the exam, and nice work on the articles, too!
